Usage Details
When you access and use the application, we may automatically collect certain details of your access to and use of the application, including traffic data, location data, logs, other communication data, and the resources that you access and use through the application.
- Photo Information: When you customize your avatar display, customize watch-face backgrounds, or sync QR codes from your album to your watch, the application will access your photo information.
- SMS, Contacts, and Address Book Information: When you need to view real-time notification messages or incoming call displays on connected smart devices, the application will request permissions for SMS, contacts, and address book access. Once you grant permission, we will access this information to provide these services.
- Location Information: This application collects real-time information about your device location, including GPS signals, device sensors, Wi-Fi access points, and base station IDs (if you have granted us permission to access such information).
- Biometric Information: This application collects biometric data such as your exercise, activity, sleep, or health data, including steps walked, distance traveled, calories burned, weight, heart rate, sleep stages, active minutes, and any similar information for which you grant us access.
- Device Information: This application collects device-related information, including unique device identifiers such as device IMEI, MAC address, and serial number (SN), for the following purposes:
Device Binding and Identity Verification:
To securely bind user accounts to specific hardware devices and prevent account theft;
After-Sales Service and Device Activation Verification:
To provide warranty services, firmware upgrades, and device authenticity verification;
Crash Log Correlation Analysis:
When application exceptions occur, logs are correlated by SN to accurately identify affected devices.
- Other Information: In addition to the above, this application also collects other information you provide, including account information such as your country/region; service feature information provided by products and this application, such as alarms, weight records, and sleep records; messages about products or services; and information from your device logs, which may vary by device used. If you do not wish us to collect this information, please do not download the application or delete it from your device. For more information, please refer to the section below on disclosure of your information. However, please note that opting out of location information collection in the application will disable location-based features. We may also use these technologies to collect information about your activities over time and across third-party websites, applications, or other online services (behavioral tracking).
How Personal Information Will Be Used
The purpose of collecting personal information is to provide you with products or services and to ensure our compliance with applicable laws.
We may use your personal information for the following purposes:
- Biometric information: We use personal physical data or device-recorded data to calculate exercise and health results for display to you in the app and on devices, such as step count, walking distance, calories burned, weight, heart rate, blood pressure, blood oxygen, body temperature, blood glucose, sleep duration, etc.
- To provide alarm reminder functionality: Based on your alarm settings, after you enable alarm reminders, we will promptly remind you through device vibration.
Information Collection and Tracking Technologies
Technologies we use for automatic information collection may include:
- Cookies (or Mobile Cookies): A cookie is a small file placed on your smartphone. You may refuse mobile cookies by activating corresponding settings on your smartphone. However, if you select this setting, some parts of our application may be inaccessible.
- Web Beacons: Pages of the application, our emails, and related websites may contain small electronic files known as web beacons (also referred to as clear gifs, pixel tags, and single-pixel gifs), for example, to allow the Company to count users who have visited those pages or opened emails, and for other related application statistics (such as recording the popularity of certain application content and verifying system and server integrity).
- Similar Technologies: For the same purposes, we use technologies similar to cookies or web beacons.
- Clipboard-Based Extended Features: When you copy text information, share information, or receive shared information, your clipboard function may be invoked to implement these features. Clipboard information is processed only on your device; we do not store your clipboard information for any other purpose.
- Auto-Start and Associated Start: This application needs to run in the background to ensure that connected smartwatches can receive real-time message and call reminders. Therefore, auto-start capability is required, and the system may, at a certain frequency, send broadcasts to wake this application for auto-start or associated start behavior, which is necessary to implement these functions and services.
- Application Processes: We read the list of installed applications and currently running application processes only to determine whether this application is running in the foreground, and do not collect information from other applications.
Device Management
To manage your DZZ devices (including DZZ ecosystem devices such as bands, watches, earphones, and glasses produced and sold by us and our affiliates, as well as third-party devices), we need to collect your device identifiers, hardware information, device usage information, basic system information, and network information. The purpose of collecting such information is to establish Bluetooth connections, manage device configurations, complete software upgrades, display data sources, and compile device activation statistics. Such data will also be used to improve network connectivity experience.
To support information synchronization between wearable devices and mobile phones, we need to read mobile phone calendar schedules and basic system information to wearable devices. We connect to DZZ devices via Bluetooth and obtain exercise and health data from the devices. You may terminate this type of data collection by disconnecting or unbinding the device.
After connecting certain DZZ devices, in order to provide more accurate data monitoring, the gender, age, height, and weight you enter in "My" and "Profile" within the DZZ application will be synchronized to the device (such as bands, watches, earphones, glasses, etc.).
Some wearable devices that support calling functions need to display mobile phone contact information and call records, to facilitate answering and making calls on wearable devices.
If your wearable device supports weather forecast features, we will send your location information to weather service providers to obtain weather information for your area and display it on your wearable device. You can disable the weather forecast feature at any time in this application's device management settings to stop such sharing.
Device Permission Access
- Storage Permission: When you use features such as sharing, vibration pedometer, or account login, you may choose to enable this permission to read or write application usage information, images, videos, and intermediate step-count data. If you do not need such services, you may disable this permission at any time; this will not affect use of other services.
- Camera Permission: When you connect devices by scanning QR codes, bind transit cards, or use group features, we need to request and obtain this permission to complete image capture. If you do not need such services, you may disable this permission at any time; this will not affect use of other services.
- Location Permission: When you use features such as generating route images for a single workout session, Bluetooth pairing, weather push notifications, or other location-related searches, you may choose to enable this permission to determine your current location information. If you do not need such services, you may disable this permission at any time; this will not affect use of other services.
- Phone Permission: When you pair with connected devices, activate cards, or use call-related functions on wearables (such as making/answering calls, rejecting calls, and receiving call information), you may choose to enable this permission to obtain phone status. If you do not consent to this permission, account login may be affected, resulting in inability to use other exercise and health features.
- Call Log Permission: When you use wearable devices for missed-call number push notifications, volume control, and call channel control, you may choose to enable this permission so that missed-call numbers can be displayed on paired devices and phone call status can be synchronized. If you do not need such services, you may disable this permission at any time; this will not affect use of other services.
